2009 Oral History for Michiganians Conference

The annual Michigan Oral History Association "2009 Oral History for Michiganians Conference" is scheduled in partnership with Northern Michigan University (NMIU) on Friday and Saturday, September 25-26, in Marquette, Michigan.   Russell Magnaghi, NMU History Department, is on-site chair of this very FIRST time conference in the Upper Peninsula.

Barbara Sommer, who is the keynote speaker at the dinner on Friday evening, September 25, will also take part in a forum for reporting projects and productions on Saturday morning.

Watch www.michiganoha.org for frequent updates about the  Friday afternoon workshop and two-day program.

Pre-registration is advised. The Friday evening dinner and  keynote  presentation will be held at the Holiday Inn.  The Friday afternoon and Saturday events are scheduled to be held at the Mead Auditorium, Northern Michigan University.  Tours will also be offered.

We recommend making a motel/hotel reservation, NOW, for your  time in Marquette. Ask for special rates when contacting the hotel or motel and mention MOHA.  The Ramada Inn is already sold out for another event.

Check back, often, as the schedule is confirmed.
